“Busy Bee or Dizzy Bee?”
Do you read God’s Word daily? Do you pray daily? Are you seeking God’s will for your life according to Matthew 6? Are you praying “Thy Kingdom come,” with an intention to be useful toward the advancement of God’s Kingdom? Are you praying “Thy will be done,” with a real heart to choose and do God’s will before your own? Are you a busy bee, actually accomplishing something, or a dizzy bee, just flying around?
I think some dizzy bees are actually portrayed by Jesus in Matthew 7:21-23.
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Matthew 7:21–23 (NKJV)
The people Jesus’ speaks about in these verses seem to be doing a lot of good things. But they were not doing the Father’s will.
