Scripture / The Bible

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 (NKJV)
What do the scriptures principally teach?
The Scriptures principally teach what man is to believe concerning God, and what duty God requires of man. (2 Timothy 1:13, 2 Timothy 3:16)
Knowing God and Doing His Will | Sermon Audio
7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul;
The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;
8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold,
Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psalm 19:7–10 (NKJV)
More to be desired than gold, yes, than much fine gold! The value of the Bible, God’s laws, God’s testimonies, God’s statutes, His commandments, His judgments, are unsurpassed by anything in this world!
If I had a dump truck, or several dump trunks, and was able to fill them all with the finest quality gold in the world! So much, that the large gold nuggets piled in the trucks shown over the tops of the trucks and glittered brightly in the sunlight!
If I also had a megaphone and announced as I drove my truck, and as my friends drove my other gold-filled trucks behind me, “Gold! Much fine gold! We are giving it away at Word of Life Church” I wonder how many would follow me? How many would come to our church?
Probably a lot more than currently do!
However, what we have now is of MORE Value!
God’s Word, the Bible instructs you in regard to how to fulfill your purpose. It tells you how to be saved! How to glorify God! How to enjoy Him forever!
